I wouldn't go more than 10 years in either direction. Too much of a different point in your lives.

I’ve dated much younger ( 30s) and my own age and have made my own conclusions. The manosphere is full of videos from “ high value men “ that almost seeks to shame men for preferring women their own age. But if you value being in roughly the same spot of the journey and love the same cultural reference points, dating your own age can be full of unexpected joys.

13 year difference for me and the wife (no pics). Married when she was 25 and I was 38. Going strong for 20+years.

I'm 51 and my girlfriend of 4.5 years is 34. She is the absolute coolest girl I have ever dated and been with. Not one single argument in 4.5 years and she wants sex more than I do. We both have boys in 9th grade and plan to get married after they graduate.

My first and only marriage was 7 years younger than me and we were married 10 years. The last 5 years were pure misery.

I'm married, but if I wasn't I'd probably stick with something like +/- 6 years.

I wouldn't seriously date a 30 yr old. That's just too much of a generational/age gap. Plus, she might want kids and there's no chance I'm starting over
