Yeah I use to be 225 lbs at 5 10, lost a lot of weight and now I'm 147-150 with 7% body fat.

Maybe lay off the cardio and eat some peanut butter.

Ask for propofol. That stuff is awesome. Knocks you out quick and you wake up very quickly without feeling groggy.

Sounds boring.

Hope it's not crohns disease. Had that diagnosis for years until things got bad and they had to remove my entire colon and build me a new pouch out if my small intestine. They amended the diagnosis to ulcerative colitis.

Scope isn't bad. You can take maintainence medications (the best of which are the IVs). Stay away from mercaptopurine. My hair fell out and only some came back.

All that said its livable. I actually better now that they removed my colon. Much better quality of life. I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs and pretty healthy and doing well believe it or not. You can too.

If you need bowel surgery. Randolph Bailey in Houston is fricking awesome. Literally the best in the business. He did such a good job that 14" scar is not even noticeable.

My son has Crohns. He is about to turn 34. Diagnosed at about 20ish while in college. Went on to get his BS and Masters. Got married. Works for a biggie international corporation, travels from Alaska to the Caribbean. He and his wife have two little boys, 3&1.
Here's the bottom line - Crohns can be moderate to severe. There is no cure at this time. No real certainty as to its cause - but seems to be autoimmune in nature. It can be a real beotch. Best to line up with a major practice that specializes in disease management and is up on latest research, such as Mayo, Jacksonville or Emory in Atlanta. Research it online, learn all you can. Expect to lose weight. There could be surgery(ies) in your future. My son has had 2.
I wish you well and hope the news is all positive. But don't be afraid and don't despair, no matter what.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's two years ago. Even though I have a very mild case, it is a very rough road. It took me about a year and a half to get my symptoms really under control and on the right set of meds. The first 3-4 months I was in unbearable pain every day and had a tough time working at all. Since I've been able to do marathons and even an Ironman so things can get better. The only real diet changes I've had to make are absolutely no dairy at all (makes me extremely sick) and limited fiberous vegitables and leafy greens.

Finding a good, responsive GI doc is critically important. Hope the colonoscopy is negative.
