I10/I110 merge might be the worst in the state, but

I would also like to throw the I10 EB stretch from Williams to Vets in Kenner-brah as a candidate.
In a half mile stretch there are 4 merge lanes (including one from MSY) all leading to a choke point crossing a bridge and not a single lane is added. I'm not sure I have ever traversed this stretch without a significant slowdown.

I had to go from Lafayette to Springfield Friday afternoon around 5 so I took 190 to the old bridge, stayed on airline/190 (hit almost every green light along the way, it was odd) all the way to Holden and got on 12 to the Springfield exit. Very peaceful for a Friday in the 225

Anyone that’s been in south LA for years knows that on certain times like 3-7 work days especially Friday’s and sometimes Saturday’s, you literally need to pretend the interstate system does not exist. Use highways such as 190 and 90 to get anywhere. For example, gotta go to Nola on a Friday afternoon from Lafayette, take hwy 90. Gotta go to north shore from mid city on an afternoon, take 190 all the way to at least Walker or maybe even avoid 12 all together and take 190 the entire way. This ideology works
