It was Alaska. There were warning signs telling people not to go out on the flats. It's happened multiple times. They tried to pull one guy out with a helicopter and he was ripped in half. You can't dig them out, can't pull them out, you can only pray. Can't imagine. At least you have time (if you have phone service) to say goodbye to your loved ones.

Plenty of big cats if possible will take if possible to Not kill you during a takedown and begin to eat you while you’re still alive.
hypothesis is, to keep the prey alive as long as possible, to keep the that’s gotta be right up there with the worst. It’s all relative though, there’s plenty of ways that are absolutely horrible and what’s hell on earth for some is optimal for others.
