This seems like a constant statement by people in who live in Orleans Parish when bad things happen around their house. If you live in Orleans outside of the 70124 zip code I don't see how you couldn't be expecting bad things to happen. Are these people that out of touch with reality?

Impossible to drive the getaway car fast enough down those streets.

Obviously it's because most of the residents are pelicans and fish, who can't shoot guns because they don't have fingers.

People on the news almost daily. I understand if you live on Old Metairie or Mandeville but in New Orleans. Come on.

Then there are people who say the city is safe because "I've never see anyone get murdered". I live in Metry and I've seen multiple murder vics while driving to different places in Orleans Parish.

Do you go searching for murder victims.

Seriously, how do you see multiple unless you are a CSI or Coroner?

Not at all.

Saw a guy shot dead on Esplanade Ave. Another on South Claiborne.

If I lived in New Orleans, I'd put a giant sign that said LIBRARY over my front entrance.

You just see shite sometimes. Not looking, not asking to see..just is what it was.

If they were really honest they would say "I'm shocked this hasn't happened in my neighborhood yet". And that goes for pretty much any of the greater New Orleans area.
