If anything I'd like to open my own private practice for pt, ot, and slp in 10-15 years.

No they didn't. This is not a rights issue and if the NFL wanted to fire each and every one there would absolutely zero first amendment implications. Zero. No one died for the rights of athletes to not stand for a song at a private event hosted by a private company

That may be true but don't kid yourself, the NFL, ESPN, and others are really hurting. And they are losing. They've bitten off a lot more than they can chew.

Don't lie now, tell the truth you did.

Just because the NFL chooses to allow it does not mean it's a fundamental right? There is no right to not stand for the anthem in private settings. The NFL chooses to allow the players to do so, but it is 100% not a right.

Your response makes no sense. I don't care if they do or don't stand. But it's absolutely false that anyone but the NFL gave them the privilege to do it. This has absolutely nothing to do with the bill of rights or anything included in them. The government is not involved here. The first amendment is utterly irrelevant

Not if they keep disrespecting this country by disrespecting the playing of the national anthem they won't.

I hope they keep it up because I want to see the NFL get hit hard in their back pocket. I'd really like to see it get screwed over that which is the biggest turn off to people, their primadonna attitudes. That would be fitting.

true, but they have faced declining numbers for years before the kneeling started. it's shortsighted to say the kneeling has much to do with it.

The second amendment isn't just about hunting. It's about being able to defend yourself from your government.

But if you ever dare to sit during the government worship song, you should face very real consequences!

Trumpers are going full libtard over this silly shite

A lot of brave men and women shed their blood so that young men, who play sports for more money per year than most people make in a lifetime, can show their disdain for the "oppressors".

I disagree with their disrespectful stance, and I think them disingenuous for acting "oppressed".

While the government has no right to abridge the players' first amendment rights, the owners have every right to tell them what to do and not do when they are on company time. Either the owners agree with the protestors or they don't have the balls to tell the protestors to either stay in the locker room during the playing of the anthem or stand respectfully while is is played.

I have no interest in telling anyone (owner or player) what to do. I exercise my distaste for their position by not attending or watching professional sporting events. I prefer college sports anyway.

At least my redneck arse won't have to endure it. That's your burden.

The owners care more about not starting dissatisfaction within their locker rooms than forcing their players to participate in the government worship song. And that's the smart decision to choose.

I love NFL football, so I guess if that's a burden, then woe is me
