Look, as entertaining as all this can be, it's pretty much run its course for me and I'm ready for it to die down too. I'm just here trying to explain that the outrage is the reason for it happening in the first place. The sooner the side-pickers learn that the sooner we can get on with our lives.

Sure, there are still some assholes on all sides, but the notion that there is "rampant racism" in this country is a myth. It's no coincidence that with the significant decline of real-life, no fooling examples of racism, the discussion has pivoted to nebulous "micro-aggressions" that purport to classify racism according to the whims of self-professed "victims." And these instances are amplified by politicians (with contrary facts conveniently ignored) as a tool to divide the population into constituencies to be manipulated.

Just because you run into an a-hole occasionally does not mean that society as a whole is racist. And just because someone does not like you or does something you perceive as offensive does not mean they are racist. It is far more likely that they, you, or both is an a-hole.

How can calling someone a n%gg$r make you racists? If that is true, then blacks are the most racists of all as day the only ones calling everyone a n*GG*r

*Sigh* Have you never heard of a homophone.

I'm a liberal and I completely agree. These people think it's a good idea to do this in response to past injustice. It's absurd and has set us all back with this woke crap. The oppressed become the oppressors

It's really become the opposite and it's glorified by society. I'll acknowledge past cultural privilege but I'm not apologizing for it

The thing about Atlanta is that there’s a massive middle and upper-middle class black community here that lives, works, eats, entertains, etc., nearly identical to the same socioeconomic white community. And that really destroys the racist narrative to a large degree.

I go to places here where I’m in the minority as a white guy and feel perfectly fine and safe here. But, there are definitely parts of the city that I avoid; and not surprisingly, similar class-level blacks also avoid.

There is noway you are a "Liberal" - You are a Moderate that votes Blue. I do not think there is a true real left wing Liberal on this website. True Liberals do not support College Sports like this website.

I don't hang out in White Meth Infested Trailer Parks. It doesn't mean that I am racist. It just means that I don't like to associate myself with white trash Meth heads. Kind of the same thing.

But I just moved to Atlanta a few months ago and one of my concerns about moving here was that blacks hates whites, whites hate blacks and everybody hates Asians and that it’s a very very very very racist city.

You aren't going to find blatant racism in Atlanta, especially in areas where different races mix socially. Probably one of the best places to avoid racism.

Grew up in N. La. Never really saw or heard overt racism till I visited Richmond, Indiana for 2 weeks. Talk about vitriolic hatred....
