I don't like them either, which is awkward with a Cajun parent.

I tell people who come on here & say they hate the French Quarter: good, stay the hell away so that those of who do love it won't feel so crowded. If you hate crawfish: good, that leaves more for all of us who inhale them. And, no OP, we have crawfish ponds for the large majority of those sold to restaurants. And for the lovers here: we boiled some this past wkend & when we finished the 3rd pot, we let the water sit in the pot over night, with a honey baked ham in it soaking up all the spices. Incredible.

I say that when my family wants to boil LA crabs not for crawfish.

I can peel crawfish faster than my stomach can feed on them.

I love crawdads, but if I had to pick, I'm doing a shrimp boil. Easier to peel and more meat

I've lived my life in Louisiana and have eaten crawfish as long as I can remember. That being said, boiled crawfish once a year is enough for me.

On the other hand, I'll eat oysters any and every way you can prepare them. They are far and away my favorite seafood.

Tigerswin03 I seen your boil.. Just throwing cayenne pepper on them after boiling them in hot water is not the way to go bro. I told you this already

Purging crawfish is a myth. There was a study done at LSU and it proved that purging the crawfish did nothing.

I don't understand why you consistently say stupid shite.

To each their own, I guess. People like crawfish. You say stupid shite. And the world keeps turning.
