I used to be in the Coast Guard. You couldn't pay enough money to do that shite again

Being Coast Guard, the job environment may be more regimented than a 100% civilian job. Quickly get to understand ranks and who is actually in charge. Take all safety measures very seriously. Otherwise, it's a dangerous job...heavy things smashing into each other and cables under tension.

12 months of unemployment and I now have my first big boy job helping the coast guard as a full time rigger and tug boat operator (civilian) . First shift starts tomorrow at 4 am!
Jealous. Part of me thinks I would have enjoyed the coast guard. Or being a riverboat/tugboat captain.

Do not lay down until you showered ate dinner and laid out your clothes for tomorrow and have lunch/tools whatever ready to grab and go.
No matter how sore you are when you wake up, get up and go to work.
