This guy gets it. You need a professional therapist to deal w your issues and how to handle the child. The child should see a therapist too. Treat the kid with love, respect and kindness.

I totally get the feeling that abortion is wrong. Hell, I never thought I would be in that boat either.
However, when you are 20 and you know you do not have the financial means to care for yourself much less a mother and her child, you panic. I am not making an excuse, that is exactly what happened.
Those who judge about abortion, I totally understand. However, try to get that I could tell this was going to be a shite show and I did not want to have a child in that environment with no money.
I am not placing blame anywhere but on myself. So it is not like I am trying to find a way out of this. All I want is to help this step dad revive this child's self esteem and confidence. Sometimes it just helps to vent.
I appreciate all those who gave and will give sound advice. It really does help when people make you feel like it is all going to be alright.

That is what pussies do, are you a democrat or just a self absorbed a-hole. A man that was raised by decent people would have stepped up to the plate and taken a job and put his own life aside for the one he created. i also believe you knew all along that this was your kid and you just walked off because it was easiest for you. After reading all of this I think the kid should stay with his stepfather, it is the only Man in his life. He does;t need a pussy for a daddy after all he has been through. You need to let the kid know you are a frick boy and that his step dad is a man and that he should allow his stepfather to be the example he should follow in his life.

I was in the process of becoming a professional and if this were on my record there is no way in hell I would be where I am today in my career. I know it is not the same but look at the Duke Lacrosse case. Those guys lives were over the day they were arrested.
Just think, I could be in prison right now for raping this girl and everyone in the world would support the mom. I do not think you understand how serious this type of situation is. It wasnt until her divorce that the truth finally came out about her sexual history.

I guess you missed the part about the mother and her mother wanting to pursue rape charges and if I did not separate myself I would be arrested for rape and harrassment.
