Every morning, I would stop by the 7-11 and get a 32oz Big Gulp and then after lunch stop by and get another 32oz Big Gulp - In other words, very excessive. There is a 7-11 next door to work

Lost a few pounds from quitting diet coke?

Ok.

Could very well be true. There has been some evidence that chemical sweeteners are treated much the same that sugar is in the body. If that is indeed true, a habitual diet soft drink consumer could experience high insulin levels that may eventually result in weight gain.

good for you

a gf of mine had a pepsi addiction

have you compensated yet for mineral deficiency?

it's the missing link for health

I use cell salts, himalayan pink, fulvic acid minerals in ionic form

once in a while i'll have a dr pepper....3-4 times a year and usually just black coffeee or water with foods

I even add the fulvic acid minerals to flavored seltzer water

quote:

We found that reducing the correlation between sweet taste and the caloric content of foods using artificial sweeteners in rats resulted in increased caloric intake, increased body weight, and increased adiposity, as well as diminished caloric compensation and blunted thermic responses to sweet-tasting diets. These results suggest that consumption of products containing artificial sweeteners may lead to increased body weight and obesity by interfering with fundamental homeostatic, physiological processes.

No, protein shakes also often contain actual sugar. Are you referring to artificially sweetened protein shakes?

From your own link:

Diet soft drink consumption is associated with an increased risk of vascular events in the Northern Manhattan Study.

Daily diet soft drink consumption was associated with several vascular risk factors and with an increased risk for vascular events. Further research is needed before any conclusions can be made regarding the potential health consequences of diet soft drink consumption.

You could have replaced that water bottle on your board with a diet soda and it would still be accurate.

art sweeteners don't cause weight gain, but without the insulin response to sugar, it would be easier to eat more food.

as such, If someone is a regular consumer of diet sodas and was still able to eat a reasonable amount of food, there shouldn't be any increased weight.

also, it was done on rats, which already have different metabolic responses than humans.

The first two days were absolutely miserable. I have never experienced a 48 hour headache like I did those first two days. The 3rd day I still had a headache but not as bad as the first two days. The 4th day, I woke up an entirely new person. No headache. I just felt awesome and have felt great since then.

Consumption of artificial sweeteners is associated with weight gain, among many other negative health effects.

Obviously, but there is a reason that rodent models are used to mimic human anatomical/physiological response.
