The Internet has provided a platform for the dumb people to speak. Once it goes viral, it becomes an issue that's news worthy for weeks.

They are afforded the same rights as everyone else in the US. Namely, a straight man isn't allowed to marry another man, either. They have equality already, they want justice. And they've got a great argument for justice.

Why would a straight man marry another man? Can you tell us why they need justice if they already have equality? Surely you're just fricking with us???

Why should I care because some dumb redneck with a pizza place won't deliver to a gay wedding?

Fun fact - the pizza owners didn't actually decline business to a gay couple. A small town reporter went into their business and asked if they would do it if inquired upon. They said no. The SJW's got their panties in a twist about a hypothetical situation that never really happened. These people had their livelihood ruined over an imaginary situation that never happened.

Also, someone set up a crowdfunding thing that has raised over $500k for the owner.

Gay marriage is window dressing for the agenda to make homosexuality a legally protected class.

I have said since day one that I would eat my shoe if all this noise was being made simply so gay people's marriages would be legally recognized. That was never what any of this was about and those arguing it was were lying through their teeth.

I couldn't care less about ANY group of people who make up 1% of the population.

It's just not smart, efficient, or long term popular to cater to such a group.

The point is that, in most places, you don't have the right to marry someone you love. You have the right to marry one person (at a time) of the opposite sex. Whether that's stupid or not is another question entirely.

But to get to your question, a straight man, in theory, would have no desire to marry another man. Just like a homosexual man wouldn't have any desire to marry a woman. But it's also like how a lot of middle aged people in the majority don't vote. They have a right to, just like anyone else. They choose not to exercise their existing right, which is the same as everyone else's. As far as "would a straight man marry another man?" I would hope that hc's afforded the same protection under the law as a homosexual.

quote:

Can you tell us why they need justice if they already have equality?

As before, they seem to be unhappy with the rights afforded them and believe that a new right would better suit their lifestyle and desires. Again, they don't have any fewer rights. They aren't disallowed from marrying a person of the opposite sex just as someone who is heterosexual doesn't have the extra right of being able to marry someone of the same sex.

quote:

Surely you're just fricking with us???

Of course I'm fricking with you. But when you stop and look at whether or not homosexuals or heterosexuals have more rights, it's usually the same rights afforded to the individual. Most of the argument about inequality applies to the couple and whether that couple is afforded equal rights.

Another way of saying that is to give justice to the homosexual who isn't afforded the luxury of a potentially tax-or-otherwise-benefitted relationship that they would be happy to take part in. It's unjust, but it's not unequal.

Make an argument out of a Republican "club" who only admits straight white wealthy Christian males? What the f*ck am I supposed to say to that other than laugh at you for saying it? That's like me saying that all democrats are poor black gay communist transgender atheists. Are you really that fricking dumb?
