Years ago I got fired on a Monday, my lame arse boss told me I was supposed to fire you on Friday, but I had to leave work early. “ I know you left early cock sucker, I worked till about 730pm on Friday night.”

You get to pick the day so obviously they are not being fired for child porn on their computer or trying to burn down the building.

The only thing I hate more than firing people is having the pre-firing 1on1 "Hey, you are fricking terrible at this job. If you don't get a lot better immediately, you're going to get fired." That's usually when they get emotional and/or you see all hope die in their soul. 90% of people who actually get fired understand exactly why and have already moved on.

Funny you said this, I actually got rid of someone today. I was going to do it Friday, but their replacement didn't show up until today.
