Anyone stuck on the bridge? We are heading that direction and my map shows red. Just curious if we should take 190? Thanks.

I agree. If something happens there is no way out, and no place to use the bathroom!

Let's see.

Drive in fricking straight line the same goddam speed and don't hit anyone else.

How fricking hard is that?

Rant over.

PS: I'm in North Alabama right now but I've been stuck on the Basin Bridge before by imbiciles attempting to put two solid objects into the same space at speed.

It will take a catastrophic event like people being stuck on that bridge in the middle of a major hurricane before they do something about getting some exits to get people off that bridge. Like paving the whiskey bay exit to 190 or the levee road that heads to krotz springs to 190. people being stranded on there for hours makes no sense in this day and age.Had a buddy, from krotz springs, tell me 20 years ago they were gonna pave the gravel part from i-10 to krotz springs

Well lets see....

Your map clearly shows that traffic is at a stop or seriously slowed

Do you think you want to take the basin bridge or another route?

Decisions decisions

Good ideas you've got there. There needs to be another way out.

There was an accident about half way on the east bound side. They were loading up one of the cars on a tow truck at around 9

This like people on the food board that just list the name of a new restaurant but don't tell you what city it is in.

Are we supposed to guess whether OP is talking eastbound or westbound/Atchafalaya or Bonne Carre basins?

It really is astounding how people in this God awful state can't do this.

That, and driving in the right lane is an enigma to everyone here.

Yep. Drove all the way to evangeline to take pictures for 20 minutes. It's going to take probably 3 to get home.
