God I hate my fingers sometime.

(Edit for typos)

Wife just retired so I'm getting her a new SUV, drive around looking today and saw they had a big sale on these.

Anyone have one? Comments on them?

Hyundai is improved but still hit or miss with quality and reliability.

Speaking as a former Genesis owner. That car was a disaster on wheels.

ETA: The Santa Fe is also a crossover, not a real SUV. Check out the Toyota Highlander if you want something like that.

I owned 3 Hyundais. Reliable, but my biggest problem was that the interior is cheaply-made and things broke and got worn down very easily. Finally made the switch to Toyota.

I actually had rented one this weekend for an out of state trip

Loved it but one seemingly small drawback that was actually large- the worst headlights ive ever used. You could barely see 50 feet ahead of you. They just didnt project at all. Had to use highbeams for a lot if the trip

I thought maybe just my particular one but i read similar reviews today

Aside frim that I thought it was great. Roomy. Good pickup and was getting about 28mpg

Had a 2014. Was a decent car. It had issues but they fixed just about everything under that warranty. The warranty coverage was the most impressive thing. It was in the shop a few times, they gave use loaners but it was a pain.

Just bought a new Highlander and am not looking back.

Hate cars, haven't owned one for 25 years. Need an SUV for when she does things for her mother too.

It's big enough for what we need, we'll check out the highlander too, dealership is a half mile from the Hyundai dealer.

That's not good. My wife is pretty much blind at night.

Wife and i both thought there was a tint on the windshield, literally a straight line across about halfway. Below the line you could see the effects of the headlights, above it darkness

I’m on my second Hyundai, the 2001 Elantra I gave away when I left Maryland in 2012 is still running with over 350k Miles

My present car is a 2012 Santa Fe that has over 240 k miles on it ....had to change a couple of batteries and the front right axle but that’s about all I’ve had to do

I would try to test drive one with adaptive cruise control. Might be worth it to you.

If they give you the run around, the Chevrolet Equinox, Honda CR-V, Nissan Rogue, Santa Fe Sport, and Toyota RAV4 are a size smaller and pretty nice. All are very popular and solid vehicles if you don't need a third row seat. The Hyundai Tucson is also surprisingly nice.

The Nissan Pathfinder, Chevrolet Traverse, and Honda Pilot are the next size up from the Santa Fe. You can fit adults in the third row of those things.

I think the Toyota Highlander is pretty close in size to the Santa Fe. That's a really smooth, comfortable vehicle. It has a smaller third row seat like the Santa Fe.

The Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Grand Cherokee are more off road oriented models. I like them the best personally.

Had an equinox a few years ago, didn't like it. Just drove a newer model a few months ago as a loaner car, didn't like it either.

Wife had a Mazda CX5. It was pretty nice.

Wife has the Santa Fe Sport which was rated quietest cabin in Consumer Reports a while back. Great little SUV. We've never regretted our choice.
