We got some good rain in Georgetown today…close to one inch.

That said, I think we e had about 6” all year.

Is all that rain supposed to be spread out across a period of time? We need the rain but I don’t want 6 weeks of rain every day.

No. DFW. Just dealt with 7 weeks of brutal heat. Can’t take 6 weeks of daily rain. I captain 4 tennis teams and play on another 2. This weather is effing up my life right now.

Over the next week, a little more. The problem is that you don't know when you'll get under a cell that dumps heaven on top of you. There's no way to know the frequency. The updated QPF chart (the one showing potential rainfall totals) will change as this event continues to unfold.

Well it was 50% chance of development and hitting as a high tropical storm or low cat Hurricane yesterday so that’s going in right direction
