Hurricane outlook for 2018 has been revised. More quiet season predicted.

Colder than normal water temperatures across the Atlantic.
I know all you wishcasters are disappointed to hear this.
Jeff Masters was probably crying typing it as well. He is always global warming gloom and doom.

Hurricane predictions from the NWS or whereever they come from are usually double what happens.

It seems like every year since Katrina they've called for an active season. Yet, last year was first Cat 3 or above to hit US since Katrina. Longest drought since records started I believe?

You are right about that.
We can have one named hurricane in a season, but if that bad boy decides to wreck havoc somewhere then.. Does it matter if it was an active hurricane season or not?

It’s funny people still take this predictions to mean anything. One bad hurricane and it doesn’t matter that it was an overall slow year.
