reasonable to expect Marines to treat other Marines with a basic professional respect and to figure out more appropriate ways and times to get off.

Colonel Ballscaster, DID YOU ORDER THE CODE RED?

The special princesses that ballscaster and Displaced know would never, ever, ever do such a thing. Never ever. They are chaste, virginal Madonnas who should be worshiped and protected from the evil cretinous men out there.
Man o man did you just get emotional.

take your reddit bullshite back to reddit. The point is that a facebook page intended to circulate these is wrong. It doesn't take a white knight to realize this.
Seriously.

The problem wouldn't exist if women weren't there. In fact, it's impossible to create an environment where men and women work together and there is no sexual tension, or in many cases, misconduct like this.

Of course it is. And the Marines that did should and will be disciplined. The real issue is that if women weren't in the military in the first place we wouldn't have to deal with this bullshite.

That's fine, but then why be so emotional?

I'm currently eating lunch at my desk listening to a podcast. I could not be any less emotional. I don't care any more or less about these chicks than any other girl who had her nudes passed around the internet. Which is not at all.

I'll put it this way, I'd be more disappointed in my son for posting nudes he received in confidence on the internet more so than I would be my daughter for sending nudes to a guy.

Well, I didn't do this, so OK.

If you think the biggest takeaway from this article is "women shouldn't be in the military", then you are passing the blame.

It'd be a sausage-fest of a military.

Despite my aggyness, I'll pass on that action. Hell, only reason I met my wife was because we were both in ROTC and eventually served on active duty together

I guess women shouldn't work around men at all then. It creates an environment of sexual tension.

This is a really dumb argument. How about women in the military, don't send nudes or you will be punished. Men, if they do send nudes, and you post them online, you too will be punished.

Then we can get back to actual reasons the Marines should be all male.

This is literally the case for any woman raped ever. If she wasn't there, she wouldn't have been raped I think there are good arguments for women not being in combat positions in the military, but this is not one of them.

That's kind of sad, to be honest, but again, hardly surprising based on similar comments made throughout this thread. I, for one, would be equally disappointed. But then again, I believe my daughter is intelligent enough to deal with the consequences of her actions.

I don't think that you know what emotional means or white knighting either. It doesn't mean "anything that I don't agree with."

I never said I wouldn't be disappointed in my daughter. But mistakes are made and learned from. Esp one that can be made as quickly as snapping a pic and hitting send. It'd be more of a "the hell were you thinking, you're fricking grounded until you're 18 and give me that goddamn phone" moment whereas to take the time to upload a pic to the internet for laughs from your friends is just overall shitty.

you're the one repeating nonsense like "princess/snowflake" just because someone disagrees with you.

I understand that the poli board and reddit groupthink has affected your ability to think for yourself, even when it comes to something as simple as insults, but at least try one time to just come up with your own material.

Yes I think sharing them is worse than sending them in the first place. One is dumb, the other is malicious. JMO.

So you don't think a bunch of Marines would pass around nudes if they only had pics of civilian women? But the fact that these women are in the military are what caused them to pass these pictures around?

As has been mentioned numerous times in this thread, this shouldn't be a damn debate about women's role in the military. That is an entirely different subject.

The fact is these Marine women took the same oath that their male counterparts took and made the same commitment to serve their country. And they were humiliated by their profession's male counterparts.

No, sending a nude isn't bad. If a guy or gal want to do it, so be it. That's their business. But passing it around online to colleagues is a messed up thing to do.

Regardless of profession.
