Unforlunately, we are not all God's children. The Word says that most will not make it to heaven. The Word also talks about different rewards for those who do. Jesus Himself told many that they were of the father the devil. True we are all sinners and fall short. But the work that Charlie did in his short life make most pale in comparison. Very few work to advance the kingdom. Does anyone think that the shooter is a Christian?

So it's God's fault for "allowing it" and not the person who willfully committed murder?

Something that's always kept me in check is remembering that we're humans talking about God here.

All life is valuable and we are all made in God’s image, but somebody who freely commits violence against somebody else is inherently less valuable to me.
