If you found 3 there are most likely dozens more. They make a spider spray that actually works well. You spray in areas you see their eggs to keep them from coming back. I had about 50 at my old house. I used a long torch and burned everyone to death including the eggs. Sprayed and I never saw but 1 again.

If you drop one in 32% HCl, it won't die.

After we built our house, we saw a couple by the back door step. I got pest control company to come spray the house. I remember I couldn't believe how many were coming out of the weep holes after he sprayed! Also, peppermint oil is suppose to repel spiders. I haven't seen any spiders since I used the oil
