I'm going to take a different tack; I'm attacking specific cities.

Targets:
Seattle
San Fransisco
LA
Corpus Christi
San Antonio
Houston/Galveston
New Orleans
Baltimore
NYC
Memphis
Omaha


Take out the ports along with a bunch of refining capabilities while shutting down the Missisippi River corridor.
San Antonio b/c it is basically a military garrison city

I'm going for the long play; you can't take geographic area but you can strangle the country slower. Smaller target area amplifies your force.

if you look at a recent electoral map, you can see where invaders would be successful (blue), and where they would not be (red).
