It's really not too difficult to go from 11% to 9%. It's more about consistency to make the move. The move to sub 5% requires an enormous amount of sacrifice if you have average genetics

Thanks don. I'm thinking visible abs and. 11% is my ticket. IM 6 weeks into consistent diet and exercise program. Goal is to look pretty jacked and more ripped by April 1-- about another 6 weeks.

Don't get me wrong. I love my 6-pack, but it's just too tough to maintain.

You got this Ryno! Seriously the consistency on the diet is the most important part. If you can stick with 1 g of pro per pound of body weight, 100-150 g of carbs, and 60-80 g of fat then you'll be adequately fed to recover from your training. Stay with that protocol for 21 days and then evaluate your progress. From there you can start playing around with the different macros to see what results you get

On the real though, the best advice I can give from my experience is to set a realistic workout schedule for yourself. Obviously you'll get the best results if you workout super hard for 1+ hours 5 times a week, but you're not likely to maintain that level of commitment for very long. Everyone is ambitious when they're planning their regimen and for the first couple weeks, but once you get past the big initial gains your motivation fades quickly and you start saying "man I really don't have an hour and a half to lift today and I'm just so tired " and then you end up abandoning it all together. I find that if I just plan a good 30 minute workout 3 days a week I'm much more likely to stick to it and the gains are much better long term.

Yeah trust me I know the feeling! I'm 38 yrs old and still have visible abs by just being consistent on daily diet and exercise without killing myself or training for more than 45-60 min per day.

Big, lean, natural: pick two
If a guy is huge and lean, he's using gear, end of story. For instance, a guy who is 6', 215 lbs, and around 8% bf is almost certainly using because his FFMI (Fat Free Mass Index) is above 27, which is above the natural limit of 25.

Anyone in the fitness world who actually sells shite or makes a living with it and says that they are natural is lying their arse off. No one is natural in that industry.
