It was $50 for my advice on how not to spend $1k on a four year olds party. Get two trays of nuggets and walk on the wild side ??

Party Planner?
Which consulting firm did you use to screen the party planners for the right candidate?
Korn Ferry?
Deloitte?
Picking some random “party planner” is ludicrous.

How much is a cake and some balloons from Kroger?
I guess you need festive paper plates and plastic forks, maybe a "pin the tail on the donkey" kit, drinks, various assorted nonsense.
$90?

it was well into the four figures.
1. Why do you need a "party planner" for a 4 year old's birthday party?
2. Why would you admit the quoted part above, even on an anonymous forum?
Things like this are exactly why I have zero sympathy for younger people complaining about Boomers and how they ruined everything and how they can't even buy a house because of the Boomers, and blah, blah, blah.
Because I hear way too many stories like this one.

You have a wife who hired a "party planner" for your child's 4th birthday? The problem is you, your choice of wife and the spoiled spawn you are raising.

Evidently the planner takes care of all the details: picks a theme, contacted a food caterer, found a bakery to make the cake, secured the band, provided attendants for the adult bar and those type of things. She also sets everything up and takes everything down. Seems like too much for a young child’s party, that’s why I was asking.
Ok, this is a troll.
Glad we cleared that up.
Pack it in guys, we're done here.
