How much you need to live in metro/urban vs rural/suburban is a much better study. Nashville takes a hell of a lot more than 60k, whereas areas 20-30 minutes outside Metro 60k is plenty enough to live well

You could live fine on that in Walker or Port Allen though. I'm guessing this is state averages.

They didn't add in the money one would need to be able to travel on a regular basis so they don't off themselves cause they made the horrible choice to live in Mississippi.
