This really is the truth. If you're a college worthy student, there are plenty of schools that will pay for you to be there. Outside of grad school, few necessities are bought with student loans.

To a lot of people, it is worth taking out student loans to go to the college that they want to go to.

U can’t default. Even if u bankrupt it doesn’t go away. U can thank Obama. He supplied colleges with billions loaning you money. It’s a scam. Typical of government takeover. Before 2009 it was between u and the bank. No longer.

, this shite has been a disaster long before Obama. You couldn't discharge the debt prior to 2009 either.

Sure, but it's not a prudent financial decision. That being said, I understand that everything cannot be quantified and it's a bigger decision than just money. However, there is a certain point where it's just a complete waste, and MANY people are in that boat.

At the moment? 0.00$

Military took care of the first degre. I had 1.5 years left of my benefits so I’ll finish my second BS degree with about 1 semester of loans. Not bad.

I didn’t think you could file bank ruptcy on student loans. They may give you a deferment, but interest will build up.

Bank ruptcy probably isn’t an option for most people though even if student loans are eligible. How could you justify? Do you owe 40k in student loans and at a job below the poverty level?

I am truly grateful that i didn’t have to deal with that.

I had friends that spends many many years paying that crap back. They also were so pissed that a school allowed 18-22 year olds to take that much money out

0.00

Worked during the summer, and that was enough to pay my tuition and get me to Thanksgiving usually and my parents and grandparents would get me through the rest of the Fall and all of the Spring.

I went to a small state school so tuition wasn't really that high... $2500 or so per semester. Can't really remember now.

What happened to fields that you had to go to school during summer like I did and they didn't let you have a job because you worked for free.

Its not financially efficient for me to pay it off. I am thinking if i declare bankruptcy and wait 7 years it will wear off.

Can't do that. I think I still owe about $35k. Will be paid off in 8 more years.

Actually, this covered half my tuition and living expenses for the semester in undergrad. Worked at Dow as a scaffold helper.

Then I went to graduate school and got my doctorate. Can’t hold a summer job and the job i did have was non paid because I had dedicated clinical hours that was equal to 40 hours per week.

The days of getting a business degree for 15 grand over the course of 4 years is over.
