I thought the streets were from Atlantic City, not NY.

ProTip: The first 75% of the board is a no-go zone after dark, beyond Pacific Ave.

I think I realized that early on. However, I have never actually completed a game of Monopoly.

Probably the OP for just now realizing that they are real. He probably thinks players should receive money for landing on free parking.
