re: How many school shootings in private schools?

The idea that its only a public school thing is completely laughable, I went to private school most of my life and I went to 2 different public high schools and a private catholic high school.

For one, I'd bet the vast majority of these shooters are lower middle class kids with crappy parents. Probably mostly uninvolved fathers.

Private schools are mostly upper middle class and better, or the parents are involved and they care.

But really, what's the % of kids in either? I'd bet its like 80% or more public right? May even be more like 95%? I mean there's the biggest reason.

Eta: Looked it up quickly on google and its something like 25% of schools are private and around 10% of students.

So yeah, 90% of mass school shootings should be at public schools.

Nah, I think this post shows exactly why this happened. Every time a mass shooting happens, one group rushes to blame it on the other group because, if they can, then they get a one-up for their favorite political team and further dehumanize the other group as murderous terrorists.

We as Americans now have divided ourselves into two distinct groups of ideology. We preach that the group we support is the only logical choice and that the other group is trying to destroy our country.

With hate as prevalent among adults in everyday life and online, how do we expect kids to not pick up on it? If I dehumanize Trump supporters to a crazy-arse kid, he's going feel zero remorse in harming them because they're evil in his mind. Same of the opposite side of the spectrum. While this may not be politically motivated, I do feel it's a result of our society becoming a bunch of self-important count that have to be right and anyone that disagrees with them is inherently the enemy.

I'm sorry you're so angry about people telling you it's not okay to be white. I've never personally experienced that because I don't go searching for extreme views to be offended by and further my preconceived notions, but to each their own.

I went to a private and we never had a school shooting. My dad would beat my arse if I shot up a school. Mother would be very disappointed
