Amen to this! This election (State wise) showed there is nothing redeeming about this politically. Love the state, hate the politics and the people who overwhelmingly keep sinking it deeper down the shitter!

Lol. What is extreme about his/her statement. Just a personal belief. All will carry on no matter which walk of life one comes from.

“Unless you make over 400k a year.” I kid I kid

Yes, those first 4 years under obama were rough. But after cleaning up the mess the Republicans made, my business boomed during the second term. And has continued to boom under Trump.

Might you be referring to the collapse of the housing market that was caused by high risk lending promoted by the Clinton administration?

That mess?

Primary changes have been taxes and fuel prices. Other than those, not too much variance in my little corner of the world.

ETA: The trickle down of bad economic policy does hit everyone. I was thinking more in terms of stuff I notice very easily, as opposed to the price of groceries, etc.

What type of business do you have? The last few years of Obama’s second term saw a healthy and robust economy

Easy to see who doesn’t have a 401(k) or any other retirement accounts. And what kind of, if any, job and income they have.

According to what we know about Biden's tax plan, your paycheck shouldn't change much, if at all, unless you are making more than $400k per year.

He’s ending the trump tax cuts for all, which will cause taxes to go up for all.

Technically he’s not raising taxes, just ending the cuts, but they both have the same effect: taxes higher than they are now.

Being born and raised in South Louisiana, my life has always been pretty drastically affected by the oil and gas industry and my family wasn't even directly in the business. I learned at an early age how that industry affects almost everything in this area. If the "probable" new President does what he has claimed he was being told to do, pretty much everyone except doctors and lawyers will see a change in their lifestyle.

Yeah, George W personally flew those planes into the Trade Center.

That being said, how did the war on Terror cause the economy to crash?

A chart illustrating debt created by war? I'm not following your argument Trillionaire.

Debt isn't the issue, no correlation there.

In fact GDP usually increases as a result of war.
