Benzodiazepines are evidence based.

Use them only when symptomatic.

Heart racing? Actually ever check your pulse? If just a few beats over 100/min who cares? Chances are you will not have an actual fast pulse.

I had them really bad for about a year after my dad passed away. My doctor wanted me to go the medicinal route, but decided I didn't want to be on that stuff forever. Honestly what made me better was realizing I wasn't the only person with that issue, and learning how to put mind over matter. I still will have a minor episode from time to time, but otherwise function normally.

Use an evidence based Treatment

Not sure what this means??

Means treatment protocols that have been show to be effective in clinical trials. In the one I gave a non-medical treatment that is superior to meds. Panic Control Treatment by David Barlow, PhD is the gold standard. Highest in effectiveness, lowest in repalse rate, even vs. Benzos and SSRIs.

Mastery of Your Anxiety and Panic: Workbook (Treatments That Work) 4th (fourth) Edition by Barlow, David H., Craske, Michelle G. published by Oxford University Press, USA (2006)

is one self-help version of Panic Control Treatment.

It's a lot more work though than taking a pill, but much more effective in the long haul

In the long run eating healthier during the week and cardio on a regular basis helped ALOT
