6 pairs including the following:

dress shoes that I wear for work

Hiking boots that I wear casually and when outside

House slippers for winter nights

Flip flops for summer casual wear

Cowboy boots from the urban cowboy era...haven't worn them in 20 years

And you are a guy. Women can pull off wearing cheap shoes. I know the shoes won’t last me a lifetime. I just know they were $20 little strappy sandals and matched a shirt I owned perfectly. If they last me 1-2 years I’ll be content.

That’s how many women feel.

Size 9 is a pretty average size for tall women

I’m a size 9

love stilettos, but my accountant ways prevents me from buying multiple pairs or expensive ones

I seldom wear anything over 3” because I’m in them 10-14 hours a day... which is the same reason I buy higher quality shoes and generally don’t wear the same pair 2 days in a row. Unless I wear them to happy hour and scuff the shite out of them, they usually last for several years.

Also, I walk like a newborn giraffe in super tall heels

Agreed nursie. I have a tan and navy pair of very tall J. Simpsons that have lasted forever. Not expensive.

I will pay more for my nursing work shoes. They normally cost $140 if I can’t find some on sale on amazon. Most comfortable nursing shoes ever. Will not wear anything else with scrubs.

For all the haters, my wife is not big by anymeans and I posted that because I don't go to stores like that but I'm talking like pannels of these flip flops, all tons of colors, and all the black, size 9 female flops are gone. She says that's common and went back second time with her on a different date night and same thing

Maybe they like them up around here. Just figured it was common.

It really is a very common size.

Anytime I’ve gone to a big shoe sale....if there are shoes with sizes missing....it almost is always a 9

4 pair Lucchese boots
2 pair Brooks (Caldera, Glycerin)
1 pair Rainbow sandals
2 pair Kenneth Cole dress shoes

I could probably use a pair of casual shoes.

Just was in the closet and counted. I have 22 pairs. The wife has 78 pairs. Think it may be time to purge

Of course after the math question posted on here yesterday- I may have miscounted
