To be fair, I have seen family members on both my side and my wife's side go through divorce and only one of the 3 did the dad care more than 2 cents' worth for their kid. Neither of those 2 even pay close to their fair share for any child support.
The one that did care, only cares about Junior's travel ball team, plus he's one of those control freaks anyway.
