Now add the power requirements to replace every horsepower delivered from liquid fuel to the wheels of every passenger and commercial vehicle on the road (I'm being nice and excluding offroad and heavy equipment) and you'll soon realize how not serious some people's vision of the future is.
I share the unpopular news that reconciled to BTU, proven reserves of US coal are larger than the sum total of all other proven energy reserves on Earth. Talk about national security, prosperity, low cost and jobs - talk about coal.

LNG not expensive enough yet?
quote:Nope. It keeps making itself. We just drill down and get it.
It's finite power

We should start building new reactors what's it been 40 years since we built one?
quote:The Southern Company
Georgia Power’s Plant Vogtle, comprised of four units in Waynesboro, Georgia, is delivering carbon-free nuclear energy to more than 2 million homes and businesses.
This long-term investment will benefit customers and communities for the next 60-80 years and help ensure we meet the energy needs of our growing economy.
The site consists of four units. Vogtle Unit 3 entered commercial operation on July 31, 2023. Unit 4 entered commercial operation on April 29, 2024. Units 3 and 4 will support 800 permanent, high-paying positions.
quote:After Vogtle, what’s next for nuclear?
The second of two new reactors at Plant Vogtle began sending electricity to the Georgia grid Monday, after years of development and billions of dollars in investment. Each reactor will produce about 1,100 megawatts of power, which will help meet surging electricity demand without creating climate-warming emissions.
…Vogtle expansion was behind schedule and over budget. The new reactors came online seven years late at a cost of $35 billion — more than double the initial $14 billion estimate.
Utility stocks will kick arse in the coming years.

Why don’t we use AI to find a better solution for power?

Is this why my Uranium Energy Corporation stock has been skyrocketing lately?
