I didn't know that 38 or 39 was considered the last of the OK zone. I thought it was more like 34 for first timers.

We only want one child. And 35 is the first age that is considered a high risk pregnancy due to advanced age. 40 is when the risks drastically increase for the chances of down's syndrome(the actual age the child is born, NOT when the woman gets pregnant).
