77 miles one way. 1 hour and 15 minutes. Mostly interstate driving.

an hour.

Is it worth living a 40-50 minute commute away from where you work and/or children go to school if it's significantly cheaper and the school has a cheap tuition?
depends on where i'm choosing to live.
depends on if my job is paying me enough to make it worth the commute.
depends on the schools i'm having to choose from.

I'm 3 minutes from work, and it's fricking awesome. But in a couple months, it'll be 30-45 minutes. But if I love where I'm living, it's worth a drive.
For example, Baton Rouge will soon have a ton of work in my industry. But I wouldn't want to live there. Since I don't have kids, I'd rather commute from New Orleans. It wouldn't be fun. But I'd be much happier overall.

Live in South BR. Work in the CBD. I don't mind the drive. Work from home often though.

35 minutes. I do it for the schools. I was at 45-60 minutes at my last job. The schools were excellent and we liked the area. It is worth it for me.

I'm currently sub 10 min. The longest I'd do is 20 min. My family values my sanity over cheaper school or more house.

For years I drove from Hammond to south of Belle Chasse. It wasn't bad in the morning but the evening commute home was worse than any bad day I had at work. I would catch west bank traffic, bola traffic, and Metairie. Even if I took hwy 90 around go Lulling it would take over 2 hours coming home. For some dumb reason, I drove this for years.

My commute now is about 20 - 25 minutes and it is not bad at all.
last city I lived in, my commute was 9 miles and it took 50 minutes at 6 AM...the traffic was absolutely maddening.

5-10 minutes max. Really just depends on time it takes to find a place to park. I love where I live.

7 minutes door to door. And I love it.

I'm about 20 min most days, a little longer in the evening. I would consider moving if I had more than 40 with traffic. I think I could do an hour commute if it was without traffic.
