We passed champagne bottles down the row I was sitting on. Then-Senator John Breaux had to stop speaking because he couldn't hear himself over the sound of bottles of bubbly being opened.

My graduation took like 1.5 hours, but the college of engineering had a relatively small class that year

Back in the day mine didn’t last that long. They didn’t call everyone’s name though. They just had each college stand to be recognized.
