How long has this Google rainbow thing been going on?

In trying to find out the difference between a transexual and transgender, I discovered something, well colorful.
So, I tried other words like: gay, queer, lesbian, bisexual, etc.... same thing.
I'm not homophobic and I'm perfectly ok with gay marriage. I'm the guy who rolls his eyes when people talk about "the gay agenda," "stuffing ______ down our throats," etc.
but seriously, when does this annoying shite end?

The vocal section of the gay rights groups are insanely squeaky wheel gets the grease. The problem is, they are irritating the frick out of everyone else. I'm very pro gay, but holy shite it gets annoying to constantly have to walk on egg shells. shite, even bears have their own flag now.
