I noticed how much cleaner it was immediately when I moved here. I’ve lived in Houston and San Antonio and both are dirty af. Clyde Warren Park downtown is great. The burbs are very nice, with lots of outdoorsy things to do, especially when it comes to hiking or trail riding. There’s a ton to do. Of course there’s a lot of cement, it’s a major city. I love how people who never lived here know everything about it.

All of our trash gets blown into the Trinity by the constant 30mph winds and it floats down to Houston.

When you pay this kind of money in property taxes, it really makes you take care of your shite. Trash and recycle bins happen behind the scenes in alleys, too.

And the poorer parts of town are mostly Hickspanic, so…well, you know.

The highways are spotless and surface streets mostly free of litter.

A lot of this has to do with DFW being a lot dryer than Houston and Louisiana. There's a lot less rainfall over the summer and winter months, therefore less drain water for sediment, minerals and garbage to flow around in. This gives the concrete a cleaner appearance as well as structures.
