Can you recommend a good, AFFORDABLE bench press set? I really want one.

I really couldn't give you an honest answer on that one.
Every piece of equipment I bought came from gyms going out of business.
I never shopped around for one.
I don't even own any gym equipment anymore.
I sucked it up and joined a gym full time about 8 years ago

Trying to increase strength in bench, kind of hit a wall for a bit now

Some guys swear by negatives, but I've never been a huge fan.

I would try Pendlay rows - you can either superset them or alternate with bench days - I was never a fan of upright rows - and I didn't really care for the low row machine - I would do t-bar or just stick with weighted pullups and chins - but Pendlay row is the closest you can get to the opposite movement of the bench press. I think that affirmatively moving a weight has more benefit than controlled lowering of a weight - which is difficult to quantify effort and improvement under the best of circumstances.

I'm having a lot of trouble developing my chest. I don't have a bench so I use a stability ball. Well, the stability ball isn't very big so it's tough to really get in a really good incline position. In fact, I feel it more in my shoulders than my chest every time I do it.

And dumbbells? I've had success with an all dumbbell routine, but I had to go pretty heavy and use a flat bench. Well, I had access to flat, incline and decline and ultimately work in all 3. I would drop the inclince and focus on flat or decline. Get the weight up, while keeping good form. Since you're limited in equipment, you can get one of those "perfect pushup" sets and work on some hypertrophy that way - but I mainly do pushups as as assistance exercise (and because I have to for the Army) - I broke down and got a rack and bench a few years back - best decision I've made.

I have dumbbells but they only go up to 55 pounds each.

It's weird because I'm pretty strong in my chest. I can do diamond pushups and one handed pushups easily. I have an EZ Bar and a small barbell. I don't have a lot of plates though. I need to get some more.

I really need to get a utility bench that does multiple positions and I need a barbell bench. I also want a squat rack.

I NEED EVERYTHING!

A power cage does all that - and some are in the $700 range.

You see, the summer before Deuce Midnight (college dropout, but otherwise a stunning success story) went to Afghanistan, he was moping around the house doing nothing. I asked for some help with the yard. Nothing. I wasn't asking for any money or anything extraordinary, because he was kind of in a spot - couldn't really work much as who would hire him knowing he was gone in a few months, right? But, I told him, "Keep this up and while you're in Afghanistan, I'll convert this room to a gym. You'll be able to set up a cot and keep 1 bag here that you stow every day, but I'm not going to just subsize sloth. Understand what I'm saying?" I continued to get no help on the yard - so.... the moral of the story is:

All real motherfrickers are waiting for is an opportunity to prove they ain't bullshittin'...

I have dumbbells, bumper plates, a power cage, flat bench, pull up bar, squat box, etc.
