Because they usually involve some IRL shite that was about attempting to ruin someone's life. You know, mean girls - "We wear pink on Fridays" bullshite. Seems strange to be so gleeful about being mean. I watched a coworker get giddy at watching another coworker get fired last week. Thought that was really fricked up.

Eh. We’re all here because it’s entertaining. On the other site I used to frequent, I know 30+ of them IRL, so some of the reminiscent posts were shared “experiences”, not trying to ruin anyone. Just remembering different times in our lives.

Proboards works really well and very cheap. I have a forum with 1200 members and I use that platform. No complaints whatsoever.

There are a lot of people on the OT that know each other IRL too. I think that is part of the reason people reminisce because a lot use too and some still do hang out.

I can't remember threads that were started yesterday unless someone mentions something about a thread that had a lot of activity.
