3 quick things;

1) if he's taking his medicine legitimately, he's not a addict. Also, if some days his pain is worse than others, that could explain taking more than usual on some days. He has to have a legitimate injury for Drs to prescribe them to him for that long.

2) if he runs out early and sells his medicine, he's just part of the hustle and is a addict with good connects/ pull mill Drs for his prescriptions.

3) unless he has cancer or something equally as bad, he's not legally being prescribed that many narcotics in one month.

You said he dr shops for multiple narcotics per month, he's a addict.

In the case of John Doe the Dr shopper, we the jury of the OT find the defendant guilty of being a crackhead.
