This will be a terrible analogy, but here it goes.

Life is like golf.

Most of your shots will not end up where you want.

They will put you in bad positions, out of bounds and require work to fix.

But there's that one shot that will land where you want, set you up for success and keep you playing.

Live for those good shots.

The more you do, the more they will happen. Don't expect for things to get better quickly. They likely won't.

Instead, build on each day and you'll find yourself out of the hole you thought was insurmountable before you know it.

I suggest this if serious.

Otherwise, sleep it off and make a list of things you want to accomplish. Make the list creation an event. Then try to knock one off each day.

Logically.

Been there done that. 14 years ago. Really sick. Chronic stomach condition. Medical bills. Hospital trips. Newly married. fricking stress a mile high.

Thankful my wife noticed the change. She reminded me it wasn't my life to take. It belonged to God.

Married with the kids and life is hard but worth it.

See a doctor. Talk to your family. Get some blood work. Turns out my blood work was brutal from the medicine for my stomach. Got it right and with the wife and the Lord's help here I am.

Accept that you are not the only one that struggles. There are others. You are not some anomaly. Most people just don't talk about it.

Your life's worth the fixing. You may not think it but I guarantee others do.

God gave you life, he just didn't say it was going to be easy.

It it were me, I would go to the nearest emergency room and tell them in detail of the present situation. I believe that they will perform a mental status exam.

IIRC, you can also have someone go to the coroners office and ask them for help in assisting you.

This is from the St. Tammany coroners office website:

[img]Our Mental Health Services division provides a valuable service to the citizens of this parish. Under state law,(RS 28:53.2) the coroner has the legal authority to issue an Order for Protective Custody (OPC) for anyone who is homicidal, suicidal, or gravely disabled. Our office stands ready, willing and able to exercise this authority to ensure that our community remains safe and to ensure that those citizens suffering from debilitating mental illness receive the best treatment available. Here is a link with their contact info:

Call them my friend

I just put it on my list to make sure you don't die tonight, so let me know if I can check that off the list.

Just a quick reply will do.

Please reach out to people who have loved you, even if you haven’t spoken in years. Be honest about your situation. I had a friend from high school kill herself. She left behind 3 small kids. It haunts me that I didn’t have the opportunity to talk to her before she made that choice. We hadn’t spoken in years, but I would have done anything to help her if I had known how bad things were.
