I think some people sweat this stuff too much. The one time I know I got cheated on, I sent a card to the woman that (in so many word) said:
Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for cheating on me. It showed me what a piece of shite you are, and that I deserve much better than you. I only wish you had cheated on me sooner, so I wouldn't have wasted the past few months in your rancid company.

P.S.--I'm getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases, and if I have any, I will let all of our mutual acquaintances know who I got them from.

There's so much shite to think about these days. Texts, Facebook, lots of ways to form relationships without actually physically touching and therefore removing some guilt. Difficult to track and discover too.
