A coworker and I are getting together as much as we can to send down to help the people who've been displaced/lost everything. What's needed most and what is a good local church or non-profit that we can send it to? I want to make sure everything goes to the people who need it the most.

I suggestions would be contact your local church and visit

LINK

It's hard but people need to be careful to not add to the problem accidentally.

We went to three different sellers last night bringing items to people and they are still in need of many.
The most needed and requested things are underwear and socks for all ages and men and women, socks, games for kids to play, ice packs.

Here is a link to a gofundme for a local couple that has been through hell the last few weeks and then lost everything they own in the floods.

self deploy

I guarantee this saved way more lives than it ever possibly hurt due to how fast those flood waters rose.
