So bad that the Feds had to take over water and sewer and the State had to take over law enforcement for what's left of the decent parts of the city. It's terrible, there's no hope of it turning around. Every wow is blamed on racism. It's likely that incompetence, laziness and graft are more of a problem.

I remember when Deion Sanders was at Jackson St. He did not allow his kids to leave campus and made his daughter live with her brothers.
Someone broke into the locker room and stole his boom box along with other things, his truck got stolen and his son's truck got stolen. I think they recovered his truck. So just from that information it seems like if anyone has anything half decent people will try to steal it.
Im pretty sure its a lot worse than baton rouge and thats saying something.

One time I got stuck in Jackson trying to get from Cabo back to Atlanta. I stayed at a Courtyard Marriott and ate at Mugshots.
That was peak trashy in my life. Kinda miss those days of not knowing if I’d make it out to the hotel shuttle without getting shanked.

Mugshots was on Lake Harbor in Ridgeland. Nothing wrong with that area.
The other one is on Lakeland at Airport Road. Nice area.
Now well over TEN years ago Mugshots was in the Quarter but it was more of a bar, not a family burger place it is now.

You weren’t even in Jackson- you were in Pearl which is pretty safe.
