How are those contact tracing cellphone updates working out?

Seems like they installed these on people phones and I’ve heard nothing about them actually being used. Just more ways to spy on us.

My iPhone suggested it needed a third party app to actually do COVID contact tracing, so who knows
If my phone gets too creepy I might have to go back to a flip phone.

My dad rocks a flip phone and doesn't own a TV. He wears cargo shorts, fluorescent socks and hiking boots most days too. Zero fricks given

They exposure notification is not active on most phones as only a handful of states created apps regardless of if people wanted to turn it on or if people were opposed to turning it on.
More states are expected to use “exposure notifications express” where states don’t have to write their own apps that then be downloaded to phones by users. Users still have to opt in, turn it on (including having Bluetooth on) and approve usage including sending out testing positive. I think Apple & google are saying 25 states so far are saying they will use this newer version.

I checked mine and I couldn't even turn it on if I wanted to, unless I downloaded a tracking app. Not sure what the point was if I have to seek out and install an app anyway.

I keep my shite locked down tighter than Dick’s hatband. My iPhone knows better than to suggest something like that.
