OK, I will bite, what was your BP?

Mine was 165?/115 earlier this week on my little Walgreen's Special I have at home. It's not as accurate as when a RN does it right, but it's pretty close.

I could tell the shite was high based on my headache. Cpl of .1mg Clonidine and it started dropping before I stroked out.

Dats HIGH bro. You on meds?

Some meds cause an elevated rebound when you skip them.

I've been up there but I'm now back on meds.

That was threeput's BP, not mine. I was just bowing because he had me beat when I *thought* mine was high at 165?/115.

But I have had a "rebound" effect myself after mine spiked and I took something for it. Sucks when that happens.

Hey threeputt, a BP of 180+/120+ is a hypertensive crisis.

With a BP this high, you are doing damage to your blood vessels, organs, and, if left untreated, could lead to some serious issues including a CVA (stroke)

I would make an appointment with a Doctor ASAP.

Are you taking any medications?

I was in the wal marks a few weeks back and tried theirs out for kicks....this is roughly the reading that I got back. luckily, it turned out to be a totally erroneous reading, but it really scared the shite out of me.

I dunno about the drug store ones but i've got a home one with the little pump and all that I have to do twice a day. It's old as shite and certainly doesn't look expensive. But it gives me very similar readings as I get on doctor visits and in the hospital.
