I’m guessing she (or maybe her child) has been the victim of SA at some point in her life and this wasn’t a thought out response but a heat of the moment spontaneous reaction to the information that he was an offender.

Regardless of the dead guy's criminal history, this is another case of impulse control. If this person cannot control her emotions and impulses against a completely unrelated person (body), she is obviously incapable of controlling herself in other aspects of society.
If a cop beats up a known criminal, there is zero tolerance, and rightfully so. He's expected to control his impulses and emotions, and he has to deal with threats, being spat upon and many other actual personal attacks.
A fireman refusing to rescue someone from a burning building because of his political beliefs would not be tolerated.
This woman is a vile, filthy excuse for a human for doing this.
