ETA-
I found this out in 1998 when I took on a room mate who was a major cocaine dealer with very unsavory "friends". One of them was hanging out and said "I gotta go, gotta hit this lick, be back soon" and I asked my roommate what it meant. He blacksplained it to me over a meal of Church's chicken and 3 oz's of cocaine.
