This thread is an example of the "miracle" of the internet.

Honkus was in the middle of mainland China, which just a short time ago was as isolated as its geographical location would evidence.

Yet, he was able to maintain contact with the rest of the world, in real time, and with the assistance of the denizens of TD, was able to secure the assistance needed to get out and get home under extreme circumstances.

All the while keeping us (and I am sure, others) up to date with his and his family's status.

Yes...the internet (and TD at times) can be a destructive cesspool, but they can also be a tool for good.

The times we live in...

Praying for your family in China, Ping. This must be very, very hard on them, I could not even imagine their fears. Please know all of TD has your family in their thoughts and prayers.
We were some worried about that cousin, He sure was brave. Best wishes Ping and good luck with Honkus!!!!

I don't think it is terrible news. They are just being careful. Viruses can lay dormant for various lengths of time. They just don't know everything for sure at this time.

Just saying terrible that Honk and family will be stuck away from home for 14 or days.

Technically, the Honks wife being home was the cause of this.

Have you had the chance to visit Martha’s Vineyard yet? Only 1:45 ferry ride away.

Yes, John Tiernan. He owns The Dockside Inn. He’s a huge LSU fan. Wife and I were there weekend LSU played Northwestern State. Highly recommend you connect with him if you go!

yes they bring food at 8am/12 noon/6pm daily. it's typically in plastic to go containers we can just grab and bring back to our room. It's all pretty good. Pasta, salads, etc.

kids are great. well maxwell is a baby so he's just eating, pooping and sleeping like normal.

Myles is good but still fighting jet lag bad (we all our). last night was up til 3am and today he slept from 4pm-until now.. still sleeping so will probably be another late night.

Play Neck on the loud speaker and challenge people to a brawl. It will be like Tiger Stadium.
