I went to St Lucia for my honeymoon too and was extremely disappointed.
Next time I go back to the Caribbean it will be to St John, st Thomas, Jost Van Dyke, Tortolla.

It's always been on my bucket list and never thought I'd have the vacation to do it, but with the changing jobs it worked out perfectly. I'm beyond excited.

One good thing about the island, the cab driver's are honest, dropped my licence, credit and debit card and about $500 in cash in a cab. Realized it within minutes and a cop arranged for another cab to bring me back to the airport. The called ahead and the cab driver had my stuff when I returned...

In Fiji I stayed on Denarua Island in a Sofitel resort once. It was a great resort, but the beach there wasn't up to par though. I stayed at the Sonasli Resort in Fiji two years ago. Got a Bure (cottage). It was older but VERY enjoyable. Last summer I did Sandlas Whitehouse in Jamaica. It was superb. I would imagine Sandals is a pretty solid choice anywhere. Jade Mountain was nice with awesome views, but was steep. In Italy try Positano, Capri ($), or Cinque Terre. All cool places that I liked. Congrats though and enjoy!

I wouldn't go to the Bahamas, we just got back and the water was still pretty cool.
Costa Rica is where I wanted to go for ours, but we ended up going to the Dominican Republic....it is awesome.
